The British Friends of Reuth raises 5k

On Sunday 1st November, the British Friends of Reuth hosted a charity screening of Spectre, the new James Bond movie at Reel Cinemas in Borehamwood.

The event was extremely well attended and together with a raffle held on the night the Charity raised £5000, which will go towards the patients Quality of Life Therapies at the Reuth Medical Centre.

“It was a superb event, attended by people who not only have a love for James Bond, but also have an understanding of the amazing work that British Friends of Reuth do for patients at Reuth Medical Centre”, Yehuda Aaronson, Director of Overseas Development, Reuth.

Reuth Medical Center is part of the many projects of Reuth, one of Israel’s oldest and largest non-profit organisations in the field of healthcare and social welfare.  The largest hospital of its kind in the Tel Aviv area, the 350-bed, state-of-the-art facility provides short- and long-term treatment, rehabilitation and nursing care, intensive care for patients who are comatose or on ventilator support and respiratory rehabilitation. Reuth Medical Center is affiliated with the Medical School at Tel Aviv University and is internationally recognized as one of the leading medical institutions in Israel and is a warm and supportive home to adults, the elderly, children and babies. Known for high professional standards and a caring atmosphere, Reuth Medical Center serves as a one-stop-shop in the post-acute field of rehabilitation.

The British Friends of Reuth have been active for over seven decades in assisting Reuth’s work in Israel in the field of healthcare and social welfare. Reuth UK is the new generation of British supporters, dedicated to developing further support for Reuth, in line with the changing needs of modern Israeli society.  We are focussing our energies on supporting the work of the Reuth Medical Centre and our particular focus at present is to raise funds for the therapy departments including garden therapy.
